New to training or just getting back to exercise? The SCY team of coaches are here to look after you. Our goal is to wedge a healthy way of living into your lifestyle to ensure you succeed. Whether it’s 1:1, writing programs or just motivation, we are here for our members.

Don’t get lost in the pack! We are now offering each SCY member 1 private 30 minute PT session per month to use at your discretion. Set your goals, then exceed them!

 

Your body knows movements, not muscles, so using functional exercises that mimic natural, daily movements strengthens you for life. This can improve your whole-body strength and fitness, not to mention boost your metabolism.

We train the body the way it’s designed to move – as a fluid whole unit. We see movement as an intelligence to develop rather than a technique to simply get right or wrong.

Get your sweat on in our 45 minute functional training sessions, with top coaching to lead, motivate and teach you in a challenging and social environment.

We like to think our form of training is periodised HIIT training with a hint of METCON. We are huge advocates for not continuously flogging yourself as that often leads to injuries. So, our programming has high intensities and low intensities throughout the week.

This style of group training is valuable for everyone, of all ages and abilities. We ensure no matter what your fitness level is or your goals are that there will be a range of workouts suitable for you. Whether you wish to run a marathon, get fitter to keep up with your kids, or to get stronger - this will work for you.

If you enjoy working out with a buddy or as a part of a group, our classes are for you. If you are looking for a functional training group that provides a variety of fun yet challenging workouts that push you and allows you to grow then we offer it all.

STRENGTH - is a specific type of training that helps you build muscle mass and become stronger. These sessions generally include static/stationary movements. You’re last 1-2 reps of each set should be challenging so you NEED to est following. Aim to fatigue the area/target muscles so they are then required to repair and rebuild stronger. 

At SCY247 we have a Lower Body focus day (Tuesday) and Upper Body focus day (Thursday).

WEIGHTED CARDIO -  is a type of exercise that uses free weights to build strength. Unlike body weight exercises which use your own bodyweight to build muscle, weight training exercises use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells or weight machines to increase muscular strength throughout the body. These exercises should get your heart rate up and make you puff. 

At SCT247 we run Weighted Cardio classes on Monday & Friday. 

CARDIO - Cardiovascular exercise is any vigorous activity that increases heart rate and respiration and raises oxygen and blood flow throughout the body while using large muscle groups of the body repetitively and rhythmically. 

At SCY247 we run a Cardio class on a Wednesday. 

STRENGTH ENDURANCE - is training with a high number of repetitions at low weights. Strength endurance training does not train with maximum strength, but only with an intensity of about 50 percent of maximum performance. Aim to keep moving, maintaining consistency and form with movement. 

At SCY247 we run Strength Endurance on a Saturday.  

MAT PILATES - is a pilates training practice that can be done on a mat, meaning, no reformer is used. In this class, you hold movements like planks, side planks, and core exercises to build your muscles and core strength. Don’t be fooled, these classes will give you a great workout and compliment our strength and cardio classes perfectly.
